Will the painting/color on the bento last?

Yes, the printing has been made to last, if handled with care.Avoid dishwashers, and using a metal scrub to extend the lifetime of the prints.

Is the basil lunch box leakproof?

We have designed a silicone seal to ensure any wet food and semi-solids like sauce, yogurt, and dips don't mix between compartments. Our bento is not designed to be leakproof for runny liquids like water.

Are the lids too difficult to close and open?

Lunchboxes that are very easy to open will not be leak-resistant. Hence we have designed the latches so that they are neither easy nor difficult. Children under 5 years might require adult help to open & close.

Is the Basil bento box safe to use?

Absolutely, Our tiffin boxes are made from premium 304 stainless steel, food-grade silicone and are completely BPA free.

Will the bento keep my food warm?

No, our stainless steel bento box is not thermally insulated, and hence our tiffin box is not designed to keep the food warm

Leak proof for sure

WHile the product ensures no leakages from te tiffin box but it is cumbersome to close espcially for children. Also is the inside made of aluiminum ?

We want to reassure you that the inside of the bento is made from very high quality 304-stainless steel. We chose matt finish for the surface finish because a lot of consumers wanted it to be so!
We understand that the bento might be difficult for very young kids to close. We will reach out to you when we launch Bento Lite which is a much easier to close version of the bento.
